Hyundai Sales July 2025: Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), one of the top car manufacturers in India, has released its sales report for July 2025. While the automaker generally records strong monthly growth, this time there was a noticeable shift in performance. Let’s break down the numbers and key takeaways from Hyundai’s July 2025 sales.
Domestic Sales Witness a Dip in July 2025
In July 2025, Hyundai sold 43,973 units in the domestic market. This reflects a year-on-year (YoY) decline of 10.28% compared to the 49,013 units sold in July 2024, marking a volume drop of 5,040 units.
On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, the drop was minimal. In June 2025, Hyundai recorded sales of 44,024 units, just 51 units more than July. Despite the decline, industry insiders suggest that the upcoming facelift of the Hyundai Venue, a B-segment SUV, could help revive domestic momentum in the coming months.
Total Sales and Export Growth in July 2025
Hyundai’s total sales in July 2025 reached 60,073 units, which includes both domestic and export numbers. Of these, 16,100 units were exported, showcasing a 3.54% YoY growth from 15,550 units shipped internationally in July 2024. These figures solidify Hyundai’s position as one of the leading automobile exporters from India, especially within the Asian region.
SUVs Dominate Hyundai’s Sales in July
One of the most significant highlights of Hyundai’s July 2025 performance was the remarkable rise in SUV sales. SUVs contributed a massive 71.8% of the total monthly sales, the highest ever SUV contribution in Hyundai India’s history. The star performer remains the Hyundai Creta, which continues to lead the mid-size SUV segment even after a decade since its launch.
Hyundai Creta: A Decade of Market Dominance
Commenting on the July performance, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer at Hyundai Motor India, shared:
“As we celebrate the incredible 10-year journey of Hyundai Creta in India, we are proud to see it set new benchmarks in comfort, convenience, and performance. It has maintained its position as the best-selling SUV in the mid-size segment every year since its launch in 2015.”
He added that even during the January to July 2025 period, the Creta has continued to lead SUV sales across India.
Looking Ahead: Festive Season and New Facilities
While the overall auto industry has shown signs of slowdown in recent months, Hyundai remains positive about future growth. With the festive season approaching, the company is expecting a rebound and is preparing for high demand with strong inventory and new product offerings.
Additionally, Hyundai is gearing up to enhance production capabilities with its upcoming state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Talegaon. This expansion will help the brand stay agile and responsive to shifting market trends.
Conclusion
Despite a slight dip in domestic sales, Hyundai’s July 2025 performance underscores the brand’s strength in the SUV segment and its growing global export footprint. With popular models like the Hyundai Creta continuing to lead and new launches on the horizon, Hyundai appears well-positioned to make a strong comeback in the coming months.
